The Township of Esquimalt is a municipality located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. It serves as one of the 13 municipalities within Greater Victoria and is situated within the Capital Regional District.
The township is bordered by several geographic features and neighboring communities. To its east lies the provincial capital of Victoria, while the Strait of Juan de Fuca borders it to the south. The western boundary is defined by Esquimalt Harbour and Royal Roads, with the New Songhees 1A Indian reserve and the town of View Royal situated to the northwest. To the north, a narrow body of water known as the Gorge separates the municipality from the district municipality of Saanich.
