Chestermere is a city located in the Canadian province of Alberta. Originally known as Chestermere Lake, the municipality officially changed its name in 1993 to reflect the community surrounding the lake.
The city is situated adjacent to Calgary to the west and is bordered by Rocky View County to the north, east, and south. It currently holds the distinction of being the third-largest city within the Calgary Metropolitan Region.
