Old Palapye is a heritage site located in Botswana, situated approximately 20 kilometers from the modernized town of Palapye. Although they are geographically close, residents distinguish Old Palapye as a separate entity from the contemporary town.
The area surrounding the site is commonly referred to by locals as Malaka village. It is designated as a monument because it preserves the history of ancient nature, serving as a historical contrast to the development found in nearby Palapye.
