Tlokweng is a peri-urban settlement and urban village located in eastern Botswana. It falls under the jurisdiction of the South East District Council and is situated on the road leading to the South African border, which is approximately 15 km to the east. The settlement is considered part of the Gaborone conurbation and agglomeration.
The area serves as a residential hub for people from across Botswana who seek permanent or temporary housing due to its proximity to the capital city, where most employment opportunities are concentrated. According to the 2011 census, Tlokweng had a population of 35,982. The tribe originating from this location is known as the Batlokwa.
