Mochudi is a large village located in the Kgatleng District of Botswana. Situated within the Bakgatla tribal region, it lies approximately 37 kilometers northeast of the capital city, Gaborone. The settlement was established by the Tswana people in 1871.
The village is positioned several kilometers from the main Gaborone–Francistown road and is accessible via a short turn at Pilane. As of 2022, Mochudi had a population of 50,321 residents. The primary landmark in the area is the Phuthadikobo Museum, which is situated atop a hill and preserves the history of the Bakgatla tribe and the Batswana people.
