Trashi Yangtse is a district located in the eastern region of Bhutan. It is one of the country's 20 dzongkhag and is further subdivided into eight gewogs.
The area is home to the Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary, which is situated at the eastern tri-junction where the borders of Bhutan, India, and China meet. To the east of Trashi Yangtse lies Tawang in India. The nearest airport serving the region is Yongphulla Airport, located approximately 130 km away.
