Paulista is a municipality located in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. Incorporated as a city in 1935, it currently has a population of 365,144 as of 2025. The city is notable for having the highest Human Development Index (HDI) within the Recife metropolitan area.

The municipality is known for its coastal features, specifically its beaches which include Maria Farinha. This beach site is home to the giant Veneza water park. Additionally, Paulista is recognized as the birthplace of the professional footballer Rivaldo.
