Ipojuca

Ipojuca is a municipality located in the state of Pernambuco in eastern Brazil. The settlement dates back to 1560, though it was officially founded in 1861 and incorporated as a town in 1864. As of 2025, the population of the municipality is recorded at 106,539 according to IBGE data.

The region is characterized by its high economic standing; the per capita income recorded in 2007 was R$76,418, making it one of the highest in the country. Ipojuca is notably famous for its coastal geography and beaches, which include Porto de Galinhas, Muro Alto, and Maracaipe.
