Cabo de Santo Agostinho is a municipality located in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. It covers an area of approximately 448 square kilometers and is situated roughly 35 kilometers south of the city of Recife.

The region holds historical significance regarding early maritime exploration. Some historians believe that Vicente Yáñez Pinzón anchored in a bay within Cabo de Santo Agostinho on January 26, 1500, though the official recognition for the discovery of Brazil remains with Pedro Álvares Cabral on April 21, 1500. The municipality was formally incorporated as a town in 1811.
