Bezerros is a municipality located in the northeastern region of Brazil within the state of Pernambuco. Situated near the city of Gravatá, it covers an area of 497,156 km² and has an estimated population of 65,007 as of 2025.
The city is notably recognized as a former center for coffee production, though this industry is no longer a primary activity in the region. It is currently well-known for its festive traditions, particularly during Carnival, when it becomes one of the most visited destinations in the state's interior.
Bezerros is also known as Papangu city due to a tradition where residents wear various types of masks during Carnival festivities. During this period, both locals and tourists gather to watch the papangus parade through the city streets.
