Abreu e Lima is a Brazilian municipality situated in the state of Pernambuco. It is located within the Metropolitan Region of Recife, an area commonly referred to as Greater Recife.
The municipality covers a total area of 126.193 km2 (48.723 mi2) and has a population of 98,462 residents. It maintains a population density of approximately 780 inhabitants per square kilometer.
While 75% of the municipality's land area is classified as rural, only 8% of its total population resides outside of the urban center.
