Anápolis is a city located in the state of Goiás in Brazil. It is situated geographically between the federal capital, Brasília, and the state capital, Goiânia. As of 2022, it ranks as the third most populous city in the state, with a population of 398,869 inhabitants according to the Brazilian Institute of Geographic and Statistics.
The city serves as a significant industrial and logistics center within the Brazilian Central-West region. It became an industrial power following the establishment of its Industrial District in 1970. Anápolis holds the second largest GDP in the state, totaling R$ 10 billion, which is approximately US$4.4 billion.
