Ibitinga is a municipality located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Situated at an elevation of 491 meters (1,611 feet), the city covers a total area of 689 square kilometers (266 square miles) and has a population of approximately 60,600 residents.
The name Ibitinga is derived from the Tupi language and translates to "White Lands." The region is geographically defined by its proximity to several significant waterways, most notably the Tietê River and its tributaries, which include the Jacaré-Pepira River and the Jacaré-Guaçu River.
