Hortolandia

Hortolândia is a Brazilian municipality located in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Situated approximately 110 km northwest of the state capital, it is part of the Metropolitan Region of Campinas as well as the Mesoregion and Microregion of Campinas.

The city is a component of the São Paulo macrometropolis, an area that accounts for roughly 75 percent of the state's population. The metropolitan regions of Campinas and São Paulo together constitute the first megalopolis in the southern hemisphere. Hortolândia shares borders with Sumaré to the north, Monte Mor to the south and west, and Campinas to the east.
