Guarulhos is a city and municipality situated in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo within the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It is located northeast of the state capital, São Paulo.
The city is notable for its significant population size, ranking as the second most populous city in the state of São Paulo and the 13th most populous city in Brazil. It holds the distinction of being the most populous city in the country that is not a state capital. As of 2024, Guarulhos has a population of 1,345,364 and covers an area of 318.68 km2.
