Canoinhas is a Brazilian municipality located in the north plateau region of the state of Santa Catarina. Situated at an altitude of 839 meters above sea level, the city is positioned at the geographic coordinates of 26°10'38" South latitude and 50°23'24" West longitude.
As of the 2020 census, the population of Canoinhas was estimated to be 54,480 inhabitants. The municipality serves as a populated center within the highland geography of the state.
