Novo Hamburgo is a municipality located in the southernmost Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is situated within the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, which serves as the state's capital. As of 2025, the city has a population of 235,802 and covers a total land area of 217 km² (84 sq mi).
