Gravataí is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is situated approximately 23 km north of the state capital and serves as one of the 32 municipalities within the Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region (RMPA).
The municipality covers a total area of 463.758 square kilometres, with 121.37 square kilometres designated as its urban area. As of 2022, Gravataí had a population of 265,070 inhabitants, making it the sixth most populous municipality in the state and the third most populous within the Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region.
