Parnamirim is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. It is situated approximately 17 kilometers south of the state capital, Natal, and forms part of the Natal Metropolitan Region. The city covers a total area of 124 km².
According to the 2022 Brazilian Census conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Parnamirim has a population of 252,716 inhabitants. This population figure makes it the third most populous municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, following Natal and Mossoró, and ranks as the 115th most populous city in Brazil.
The municipality is conurbated with the capital to its north. Parnamirim is currently characterized by significant economic growth, particularly within the real estate sector.
