Caicó is a municipality located in the Northeast region of Brazil within the state of Rio Grande do Norte. It is situated approximately 222 kilometers from the state capital, Natal, and 1,572 kilometers from the federal capital, Brasília.
The municipality covers a total area of 1,228.583 square kilometers, with an urban area of 14.0727 square kilometers. According to the 2022 demographic census conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Caicó has a population of 61,146 inhabitants, making it the eighth most populous municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
