Parnaíba is a city located in the Brazilian state of Piauí. According to 2025 estimates from the IBGE, it has a population exceeding 170,491 inhabitants, making it the second most populous city in the state following the capital, Teresina.
The city is one of four coastal municipalities within Piauí. These four municipalities collectively constitute the metropolitan area of the region.
