Arapongas is a municipality located in the state of Paraná within the South Region of Brazil. It is situated in the North Central Paranaense Mesoregion and the Apucarana Microregion, specifically falling within the Metropolitan area of Londrina. The city is positioned approximately 386 km from Curitiba, the capital of the state.
The municipality occupies a total area of about 382 km². According to the 2022 Census conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, Arapongas has an estimated population of 119,138 inhabitants. It ranks as the sixteenth-most populous city in Paraná and serves as the second-most populous metropolitan area of Londrina.
