Três Pontas is a municipality located in the southern region of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The city has a population of approximately 57,000 inhabitants and maintains a population density of about 78.12 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The urban zone of Três Pontas features paved streets with water and sewage services provided to all residents. While the road MG-167 is the only paved road passing directly through the city, it is situated less than 50 km from the Rodovia Fernão Dias (BR-381), which passes through Varginha.
