Pedro Leopoldo is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Minas Gerais. It is situated within the Greater Belo Horizonte region and serves as a local urban center in the southeastern part of the country.
As of the 2022 Census conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, the city has a population of 62,580 residents. The municipality is notable for being the birthplace of several prominent figures, including the medium Chico Xavier and Dirceu Lopes, a footballer who won the World Championship in 1970 while playing for Cruzeiro.
