Araxa was an ancient city located in the region of Lycia. According to the historical accounts provided by Alexander Polyhistor in the second book of his Lyciaca, the city occupied a position near Sidyma as noted by Ptolemy.
The site is situated at a location known as Ören, which is positioned near Fethiye. It is specifically located on the upper portion of the Xanthus River.
