Nova Mutum is a municipality located in the state of Mato Grosso within the Central-West Region of Brazil. It is situated approximately 242 kilometers north of Cuiabá, which serves as the state capital.
The city belongs to the Norte Mato-Grossense mesoregion and the Alto Teles Pires microregion. According to 2022 estimates from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, Nova Mutum has a population of approximately 55,832 people.
