Corumbá is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul. It is situated approximately 425 km northwest of Campo Grande, which serves as the state's capital.
The city has a population of about 98,751 inhabitants and maintains an economy centered on agriculture, animal husbandry, mineral extraction, and tourism. Notably, it serves as a gateway to the Pantanal, which is recognized as the largest wetlands in the world.
Due to its proximity to the border with Bolivia, Bolivians living in Brazil make up a significant portion of Corumbá's population, creating a distinct cultural community within the city. The municipality is also served by the Corumbá International Airport.
