Colatina is a city located in the northern region of Espírito Santo, Brazil. It is situated approximately 127 kilometers north of the state capital, Vitória, along the train line that connects Vitória to Minas Gerais. The city covers a total area of 1,398 square kilometers.
The municipality lies on the banks of the Doce River, which can reach flow rates of up to 700 cubic meters per second. As of recent data, Colatina is the second largest city in northern Espírito Santo with a population of 120,033 residents.
