Cachoeiro de Itapemirim is a municipality and major town located in the southern region of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Situated on the banks of the Itapemirim River, the city is positioned approximately 138 km south of the state capital, Vitória.
The city serves as the primary economic hub for southern Espírito Santo and is recognized as the most important producer of marble and granite in Brazil. With a population of about 210,000 residents, it is a well-connected urban center that hosts one of the country's largest intercity bus companies.
