Recanto das Emas is an administrative region located in the Federal District of Brazil. It occupies the westmost area of the district and shares borders with several neighboring regions: Samambaia to the north, Riacho Fundo II to the east, and Gama to the south. Its western boundary marks the border with the state of Goiás.
The region was officially founded on July 28, 1993. It received its status as an administrative region through Law 510, which was enacted on the same day of its founding.
