Jequié is a city located in the Southwest region of the state of Bahia, Brazil. Situated approximately 365 km from the capital city of Salvador, it is characterized by its mountainous landscape and high temperatures throughout the year.

The city is known by the nickname "Cidade Sol," which translates to "The Sun City." It is also referred to as "Chicago Baiana" and is noted for being rich in iron ore deposits.
