Itabuna is a municipality located in the state of Bahia, Brazil. It ranks as the sixth largest city in the state by population, following Salvador, Feira de Santana, Camaçari, Vitória da Conquista, and Juazeiro.
The city covers a total area of 401 square kilometers (155 mi2) and maintains a population density of approximately 550 residents per square kilometer. According to the 2022 Census, Itabuna had an estimated population of 186,708 residents.
