Bom Jesus da Lapa is a municipality located in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Situated approximately 796 kilometres from the state capital, the city covers a total area of 4,115.5 square kilometres and lies along the banks of the São Francisco River. As of 2022, the population was recorded at 65,550 by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics.

The local economy is primarily driven by agriculture, commerce, tourism, and fishing. The municipality serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bom Jesus da Lapa. The current mayor of the city is Eures Ribeiro Pereira.
