Alagoinhas is a city located in the Brazilian state of Bahia. Situated at approximately 12°8′9″S 38°25′8″W, it serves as a regional center within the state.
The city was founded in 1852. In 1974, Alagoinhas became the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Alagoinhas.
