Coruripe is a municipality located on the southern coast of the Brazilian state of Alagoas. Situated along the banks of the Coruripe River, the city covers a total area of 913 km2 and had a recorded population of 57,294 as of 2020.
The municipality holds a unique geographical distinction within its state: it is the largest municipality in Alagoas by land area. However, when compared to the largest municipalities across all Brazilian states, Coruripe is noted for being the smallest among them.
