Kralendijk is the capital and primary port of Bonaire, an island located in the Caribbean Netherlands. Known locally in Papiamentu as Playa, which translates to "beach," the town serves as a central hub for the island's maritime and commercial activities.
The town has a population of 10,620 as of 2017. While Papiamentu is the primary language spoken in Kralendijk, both Dutch and English are widely used throughout the community.
