Ouidah, also known as Whydah or locally as Glexwe, is a coastal city located in the Republic of Benin. The commune encompasses an area of approximately 364 square kilometers (141 square miles).
Historically, Ouidah served as the primary port for the Kingdom of Whydah. As of 2002, the city had a recorded population of 76,555 people.
