Mushishi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuki Urushibara. It was serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazines Afternoon Season Zōkan from October 1999 to October 2002, and subsequently in Monthly Afternoon from December 2002 to August 2008.
The series follows the protagonist Ginko, a man who dedicates his life to solving problems caused by supernatural creatures known as Mushi. The individual chapters of the manga were collected into ten tankōbon volumes by Kodansha and localized for North America by Del Rey between January 2007 and August 2010.
