Murehe

Burundi

Murehe is a village located in the Commune of Bururi within the Bururi Province in southern Burundi. It is situated approximately 21.1 kilometres southeast of the city of Bururi by road.

The village has historical significance regarding missionary presence, though it is noted to have experienced a shortage of missionaries. Additionally, Murehe served as a site for a meeting involving the Minister of the Interior at the local dispensary on August 7, 1996, during the period of the genocide.
