Zhedna is a small village situated in western Bulgaria. It is located at the foot of Kolosh Mountain, approximately 48 kilometres (30 mi) away from the national capital, Sofia.
The settlement was first mentioned in a document dating back to 1446. The population of Zhedna follows the Eastern Orthodox Christian religion.
