Yovkovtsi Reservoir is a body of water located in northern Bulgaria within the Yantra basin. It was constructed on the river Veselina and is situated approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the town of Elena.
The reservoir lies within the territory of the Elena municipality and serves as a primary water supply for several towns, including Veliko Tarnovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Lyaskovets, Strazhitsa, Zlataritsa, Elena, Gabrovo, and Dryanovo. A significant portion of the reservoir, spanning 223 square kilometres (86 sq mi), is designated as a hygienic protected zone.
The dam area is known for its diverse aquatic life, specifically noted for being rich in carp, pikeperch, and various other species of fish.
