Yablanitsa

Yablanitsa is a small town located in the westernmost part of Lovech Province in central-north Bulgaria. It serves as the administrative center of the homonymous Yablanitsa Municipality and is situated in the Pre-Balkan area, north of the Stara Planina mountain range.

The town is positioned approximately 70 kilometres from the capital city of Sofia, near the Hemus motorway which connects Sofia and Varna. It was officially proclaimed a town in 1968. As of December 2011, Yablanitsa had a recorded population of 2,854 residents.
