Yambol is a city located in southeastern Bulgaria. It serves as the administrative center of the Yambol Province and is situated within the historical region of Thrace.
The city is positioned on both banks of the Tundzha river. While it is primarily known by its standard name, it is occasionally spelled as Jambol.
