Pleven is a city located in the northern part of Bulgaria. It serves as the administrative center for both Pleven Province and the subordinate Pleven municipality. As of the 2021 census, the city had a population of 89,823 residents.
The city holds the distinction of being the seventh most populous city in Bulgaria. Additionally, it functions as the primary economic center for the Northwestern region of the country.
