Dobrich

Bulgaria

Dobrich is a city located in the northeastern part of Bulgaria. It serves as the administrative center of Dobrich Province and functions as the capital of the Southern Dobrudzha region. The city is situated approximately 30 km west of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, positioned near coastal resorts such as Albena, Balchik, and Golden Sands.

The city is named in honor of Dobrotitsa, a medieval Bulgarian lord who ruled over the surrounding area. As of January 2012, the population within the city limits was recorded at 79,269 people. Agriculture represents the most developed sector of the local economy, with wheat and lavender oil being the region's most prominent agricultural products.
