Ouahigouya is a city located in northern Burkina Faso, positioned approximately 182 kilometres northwest of the national capital, Ouagadougou. It serves as the administrative center for the Yatenga Province and contains the Ouahigouya Department as one of its subdivisions.
The city is the largest town within the Nord Region and ranks as the fourth largest city in Burkina Faso. As of 2019, it had a recorded population of 124,587 residents.
