Koupéla is a city located in Burkina Faso, situated east of Ouagadougou and west of Fada-Ngourma. The region surrounding the city is primarily inhabited by the Mossi people.
The area is recognized for its traditional pottery and sculptures, which are crafted from natural clays sourced locally. Historically, Koupéla served as the site of the first Catholic mission in Burkina Faso in 1900. It currently serves as the seat of an archdiocese and houses a cathedral.
