Dédougou is a city located in western Burkina Faso. It serves as the capital of both the Mouhoun Province and the Boucle du Mouhoun Region.
The city ranks as the 10th largest urban center in Burkina Faso. As of the 2006 census, its population was recorded at 37,793, consisting of 18,778 males and 19,015 females. The primary ethnic groups residing in the area are the Marka and the Bwa.
