Eupen is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of Liège. It serves as the capital of the German-speaking Community of Belgium and holds the status of the capital for the Euroregion Meuse-Rhine.
The town is situated approximately 15 kilometres from several major landmarks, including the German border near Aachen, the Dutch border near Maastricht, and the "High Fens" nature reserve in the Ardennes region.
