Berchem is a southern district of the city and municipality of Antwerp, located in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is situated along the historic Grote Steenweg, a road that has served as a connection between Brussels and Antwerp for several centuries.
The district borders the districts of Deurne, Borgerhout, Wilrijk, and Antwerp, as well as the municipality of Mortsel. Berchem is composed of three distinct quarters: Oud Berchem, Groenenhoek, and Nieuw Kwartier.
